Your Child’s Progress
We monitor each child’s progress closely and provide reports to their parents through a variety of means both formally and informally. Alongside the on-going monitoring and assessment that naturally takes place during lessons and in the playground, all classes have internal assessment sessions during the year. Termly reports are provided to parents throughout the year in addition to more concise weekly diaries for Explorers, Inventors and Navigators and a daily diary for Discoverers.
Our staff look forward to, and value, the face to face time they have to speak with each family. We are always happy to provide any feedback or answer any questions a parent may have when you collect your child at the end of their day.Parents are invited to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their social, emotional and academic growth in the school environment.
No matter their needs, we always aim to be supportive and to work with our children and their parents to ensure continued growth across all areas of development.
Our Meals
We pride ourselves on providing the children at Pre-School Express with a healthy balanced diet. Our weekly menus are designed to meet the range of dietary requirements needed by young children. Special dietary requirements (for medical or religious reasons) can usually be accommodated.
We attach considerable importance to the social aspect of mealtimes. We strive to make this an enjoyable unhurried occasion for all children.We encourage table manners and saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ when asking for something and promote the use of cutlery. We pray, serve meals in front of the children and talk about the different smells and colors of the food and textures to make each meal a social and fun time.
Our Outdoor Spaces & Extracurricular Activities
All classes go outdoors in the morning and the afternoon. Our outdoor spaces provide an amazing learning environment for our childrenincluding a fully equipped playground, swings, large climbing frame, a sand pit and an animal farm. We have a wide range of tricycles, scooters, balls and other toys to encourage and strengthen gross motor skill development, overall balance, social and physical ability.
We offer a range of extracurricular activities for children during school hours including piano, ballet, salsa, story-time, arts and crafts and physical education. Additional costs may apply.
